North Central Christmas Books 2010

North Central Christmas Books 2010

Handmade paper, hand-set type, numbered, ancient and magisterial texts. These are some of the attributes of the North Central Christmas Books in the collection we offer below. Every Christmas, from the late 1940s until 1981, North Central Publishing in St. Paul, MN, under the leadership of Al Muellerleile, hand crafted a limited number of books to distribute to friends and customers.  Often working in conjunction with Frank Kacmarcik, of St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, each book is a beautiful and unique marriage of worthy text and worthy physical book. These are truly one of a kind books and when they are gone, there won't be any more.

"This year our Christmas book carries with it a . . . message: The work, hand-set by the author, reflects the "adventure and art" of the printed word meticulously executed by a craftsman hand-picking each character". - from the fold-in note to Alfred's Christmas.
