Library Collection Development
Recent History
During the past twenty years Loome Theological Booksellers has created entire libraries for new institutions throughout the world. These have included:
- Ave Maria University (Ave Maria, Florida): graduate and undergraduate collection in all subject areas (history, literature, mathematics and science, philosophy, theology, etc). Significant rare and antiquarian collections.
- Seat of Wisdom Theological Seminary (Owerri, Nigeria), major seminary of the Archdiocese of Owerri and its seven suffragan dioceses: basic collection in all areas of undergraduate and graduate seminary studies.
- The University of Asia and the Pacific (Manila, Philippines): theology, philosophy, ancient and mediaeval history, etc.
- International Theological Institute (Gaming, Austria), under the presidency of Christoph Cardinal Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna: core collection for doctoral studies, including Thomistic studies, patrology, mediaeval studies, etc.
- The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (Nairobi, Kenya): basic collection of both monographs and periodicals for the university's three constituent schools: Philosophy, Social Sciences (psychology, sociology, anthropology, etc), and Theology (including canon law, biblical studies, ecclesiastical history, etc).
Loome Theological Booksellers has also worked closely with an array of colleges, universities and seminaries in developing already existing libraries. These institutions have included:
