All 5 volumes are hardcover, uniformly bound in original brick cloth with gilt lettering to spines. Illustrated throughout with numerous black & white plates and maps, including several foldouts. In very good condition. Bindings and hinges are intact and firm; text is crisp, clean, and bright. Volumes 2-5 were withdrawn from a convent library; Volume 1 has a small ink stamp on the title page. There is some light wear to extremities, otherwise a very handsome example of this rather hard-to-find set.

Bound in fine black cloth with gilt-lettered green morocco leather title labels to spines. In excellent condition, tightly bound, with crisp, bright, interior. Ink stamps present on title pages, but the text and plates are pristine. Oerall, a beautiful example of a rather uncommon work.
