Breviarium Romanum ex decreto SS. Concillii Tridentini resitutum. Summorum pontificum cura recognitum. Editio tertia juxta novam typicam [4 Volume Set].

 Sumptibus et Typis Friderici Pustet, 1955. 12mo, supple leather-bound hardcover 4-volume set in good condition. Scuffing and spotting, with rubbing to head and tail of spines. Gold gilt over red page edges, modestly scuffed. Colored ribbon markers. Pages tanned. Scuffed and modestly rubbed slipcases for all volumes but Hiemalis. Slight chipping to head of spine for Aestiva and Verna volumes. Verna volume also has wrinkling to upper back corner of text block due to moisture exposure. With Autumnalis volume, upper back corner of cover and adjacent text block either chopped or chewed off. Nevertheless, bindings sound, red endpapers with cross-hatch pattern in splendid condition, and texts pristine.

Gilt ruled borders to both front & back covers. Marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Binding is firm and square. Contents are crisp, clean, and bright. Fine bookplate to front pastedown, small ink stamp to title page verso, and slight evidence of card pocket removed from rear endpaper. Page 331/2 is torn but repaired, with no loss of text. The text block is cracked at hinge between pages 488-489 but without affecting sturdiness of binding. A lovely copy overall, in a very sttractive binding.
